This seldom is close to the site (a new house) and the stones are often carried across large distances by men and women. Seeing a man with one on his shoulder it’s not too far in this instance (and about 300 m from this spot).

Sigma 100-400 OS C @180mm, f5.6, ISO 250 (3350 m) Family harvesting the barley; splitting the ear using two straight sticks to pick them up (they often pull whole clumps of the barley from the soil). The older man cuts whatever is left in the soil with the sickle.
